This summer the Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD ,shipped its read Tang sport utility vehicles to Norway, the country which has seen the quickest uptake of battery powered by BYD´s homemade lithium batteries, a technology it hopes will become a key platform for the global car Industry. Founded in 1995 to make lithium batteries for consumer electronics, BYD has developed into one of the biggest producers of batteries for electric vehicles. BYD is now the world´s second largest producer of electric buses and the fourth-largest maker of electric vehicles. Key to BYD´s success has been its battery technology, which is pushing the cost of electric cars below their fossil-fuel powered peers, hastening a turning point in the global car industry. Manthiram says that as charging infrastructure develops globally, drivers will not need to drive such long distances on one charge, and range anxiety(is the driver’s fear that a vehicle may not have enough energy storage to cover the road distance needed to reach the intended destination) will be reduced. That could speed up adoption of the more environmentally-friendly LFP batteries used by BYD. It will be used in other parts of the world and in America. BYD´s rise has contributed to China´s dominance of electric car batteries. It also produces LFP batteries. A total of 77 per cent of global lithium on production capacity will be located in China by the end of this year, according to Benchmark Mineral. Most electric car batteries outside China use cobalt and nickel in their cells, which is increasing concerns about a shortage of raw materials(the basic material from which a product is made.). It has mastered a type of lithium-ion technology that was invented based on concepts discovered by John Goodenoungh. Crucially these batteries use only lithium, iron and phosphate. BYD has increased the amount of energy that the batteries can hold. The batteries can also be easily recycled and can last for more than 1m kilometers of driving, according to BYD. During a standard test where a nail(in spanish main´s clavo) was driven into the battery, the Blade battery did not emit any smoke and fire, reaching a temperature between 30 to 60Cº. BYD is starting in Norway, where sales of EVs have exploded: around three quarters of new car sales last year were battery-powered cars. But it is not only competing against Tesla and the legacy carmakers´EV models, it is companies. BYD says it is preparing to build a battery factory in Europe. Michel Dunne, chief executive of industry advisory group ZoZo Go who used to live in China, says: “BYD is the prototype of where the president, Xi Jinping, wants to take China”

This article is about cars, about how the first car was created, how modern they are now and the possibility that in the future the car will have a software engineer who fix the car alone. In 1913 Henry Ford installed the first moving of a senseless automobile, this was one of the main sources of industrialization and globalization. Not all that will change. However, a striking feature of car re-engineering is the reduction of moving parts, from about 2000 in a petrol engine to 20 in an EV. One of the areas that may be severely affected are the component industries, as the switch to electric cars may cause some industries where thousands of manufacturers may become out of work or have to instead manufacture components for to cars that run with petrol to electrical components for electric cars. Some manufactures are working with component producers on the transition, thinning out their core suppliers and helping others to find new product areas. But the shift in the technology and composition of autos will open some opportunities to innovative companies in the emerging market. New opportunities can open the door for local workers to install new components in the car, such as software to fix things that break down in cars.
